Using Widgets

SiteBuilder has several widgets that can do cool things like image galleries, maps and contact forms. You can also make reservations for Moving Helpers.

Place a widget on a page

  1. Go to the live editor
  2. Go to the page you want to place the widget inside
  3. Edit the content area where you want to place the widget
  4. Click to place the cursor where you would like to insert the widget
  5. Click the gear icon at the top of the content editor.
  6. Select the widget you want from the widget gallery
  7. Click "Insert"
  8. Finish editing the content around the widget and click "Save"

Depending on which widget you selected, you may need to configure it. See below for more directions.

Image Gallery Widget

With the image gallery widget, you can add photos or other graphics that you want to make into an interactive gallery. This widget is great for creating a virtual tour of your facility!

To configure the image gallery widget, follow these steps:

  2. Click "Configure Image Gallery"
  3. Click and drag the images you want to add to the gallery into it or upload new images
  4. Resize the gallery to fit
  5. Click "Save"

Map Widget

With the map widget, you can place an interactive, zoomable map on your page. You can even set the size of it!

To configure the map widget, make sure you've placed it on the page, then follow these directions:

  1. Move your mouse pointer over the content area containing the widget
  2. Click "Configure Bing Map"
  3. Set the map's location - You can either find an address or place the marker on the map with a right click.
  4. Adjust the map - Drag and zoom the map until it shows exactly the area you want
  5. Choose the view - Select road arial or bird's eye view
  6. Set the size - Click and drag the bottom right corner of the map to change its size.
  7. Click "Save"

Your customers will see the map exactly as you have configured it.

Contact Form Widget

The Contact Form Widget does exactly what its name implies: it inserts a fully-functional contact form wherever you place it. This form will allow your site visitors to send you emails without revealing your email address.

Follow these directions to configure the contact form widget:

  1. Move your mouse pointer over the content area containing the widget
  2. Click "Configure contact form"
  3. Enter the email address you would like to use. Emails from this form will be sent to this address
  4. Click "Save"

Moving Help Widget

This widget allows you to help your customers by offering Moving Help service right from your site! More information about Moving Help is available here.

If you are a Moving Helper, this widget will allow customers to hire you directly from your site.

If you are not a Moving Helper, this widget will allow your site visitors to search for Moving Helpers in their area and complete a Moving Help order right there!

This widget takes up an entire content area. We recommend that you don't put any content in the same content area as the Moving Helper Widget.

YouTube Video Widget

If you post videos on YouTube, you can easily add them to your web site using the YouTube widget

To configure the YouTube widget, make sure you've placed it on the page, then follow these directions:

  1. Move your mouse pointer over the content area containing the widget
  2. Click "Configure YouTube Video"
  3. Copy and paste the URL to your video into the box - This is located in your browser's address bar when you are viewing your video
  4. Preview your video if you like
  5. Click "Save"

Your visitors will see the video precisely how it looks in the Live Editor.

Facebook Widgets

There are currently two different facebook widgets. The Connect with us on Facebook link, and the Share button

The Share Button has no options associated with it. It just allows your visitors to post a link to your page on their facebook account.

The Connect With Us on Facebook link does have a few options to configure. Follow these steps:

  1. Move your mouse pointer over the content area containing the widget
  2. Click "Configure Connect with Us on Facebook Link"
  3. Enter the location of your page or profile on Facebook
  4. Change the link text if you like
  5. Click "Save"

Twitter Widgets

Like the Facebook Widgets above, there are two different Twitter widgets you can place on your site.

The Tweet Button widget enables your visitors to post links to your page in their Twitter status. There is no configuration necessary for this button.

The Follow Us on Twitter link allows your visitors to go to your Twitter page and read any updates you have there. Configure the link this way:

  1. Move your mouse pointer over the content area containing the widget
  2. Click "Configure Follow Us on Twitter Link"
  3. Enter your twitter username into the appropriate box
  4. Change the link text if you like
  5. Click "Save"
